Learning Objectives:

1.        To develop and conduct health science education for physicians, pharmacists and allied health professionals.

2.        To offer health science educations programs in formats and venues conducive to learning.

3.        To provide health science education in basic sciences and clinical science arenas.

4.        To promote informed clinical decisions.

5.        To enable physicians to remain informed in multiple areas of medicine including development in fields other than their own.

6.        To foster responsible and balanced debate on conventional and controversial issues affecting health sciences.

7.        To forecast and discuss important issues and trends in health sciences.

8.        To recognize that in addition to these specific objectives the University has a social responsibility to improve the total human condition and to promote research interest in and awareness of basic and clinical science research.
